Rubber Rig

This a simple rig of a character similar to an alive rubber. I decided to model this simple character because I want to practise rigging character props such as the braces and buttons. For that reason, the goal of this rig is experimenting with different ways of rigging these props.

I used a rig local to control and deform the braces by means of a curve along the mesh with a joint and an independent control for each control vertex. SkinCluster was used to deform the curve by means of joints, and wire to deform a duplicated mesh. Finally, I connected the original and duplicated mesh with a blendShape deformer.

The button’s rig was made with driverPlanes and follicles where I emparented the control of the prop. Both of control systems have a symmetrical behaviour. I hope you like it.
