The Archeologist is my new character I created for several months.
This is another character I modelled since I began to study 3D modelling and I am very happy with the final result. The character has some stylised shapes in the body and props, and he is a blend between an archeologist and an adventurer, and I used references from Tadeo Jones, Indiana Jones, The Mummy and Jumanji films.
The character was sculpting in ZBrush for the high poly and Maya for the final topology. Then I unfolded the UVmaps and baked different maps such as AmbientOcclussion, Curvature and Displace Maps. Then I created the textures in Substance Painter and the Arnold`s shaders. Finally I set a three spot’s lighting and rendered the final image in Arnold Renderer. The postproduction was made in After Effects.
I enjoyed a lot with all process and I hope you like it.
